She scrambled the battle lines, too.<br \/>\nThe crustiest old Republican men are shouting &quot;Sexism!&quot; when she&#8217;s<br \/>\nslammed. Pro-woman Democrats are saying she must be a <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cynthiasamuels.com\/blog\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/09\/03\/another_mother.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"132\" border=\"0\" width=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cynthiasamuels.com\/blog\/dontgeltoosoon\/images\/2008\/09\/03\/another_mother.gif?resize=100%2C132\" title=\"Another_mother\" alt=\"Another_mother\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nbad mother to be<br \/>\nall ambitious with kids in the house. Great respect goes to Barack<br \/>\nObama not only for saying criticism of candidates&#8217; children is out of<br \/>\nbounds in political campaigns, but for making it personal, and<br \/>\ntherefore believable. &quot;My mother had me when she was eighteen\u2026&quot; That<br \/>\nwas the lovely sound of class in American politics.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When the McCain <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bpyOSLZw8qo&amp;feature=related\">Summer of Love ad <\/a>debuted, I wrote this &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/dontgelyet.typepad.com\/dontgeltoosoon\/2008\/07\/they-will-campa.html\">They Will Campaign Against Us Until We&#8217;re Dead, and Maybe After.<\/a>&nbsp; If you watch CSPAN, especially <a href=\"http:\/\/www.c-span.org\/Series\/Washington-Journal.aspx\">Washington Journal<\/a>, you know from the phone calls how much anger still exists; how much hatred of the generation I grew up in.&nbsp; Against our opposition to the war, mischief and outrageousness, and even more, our search &#8211; no, <em>demand<\/em> &#8211; for peace.
